 | Book Reviews: The Year of Magical Thinking (2006)- Joan Didion |
40 years of marriage comes to an abrupt end following a massive heart attack. The Year of Magical Thinking is a recount of the year after the death of Didion’s husband, John, and reads like a poignant reality check.
The tale, raw, stripped of drama or romance, paints a vivid picture of the mental pathway taken after losing someone. It’s a good but sobering read.
