Les is More: Another recipe for Johnny Superfecta
Another recipe for the tragically under-fed and under financed:
1 28 oz can of dark red kidney beans.
2 cups cooked white rice.
1 packet of Knorr's chicken gravy.
Cook rice.
Combine with kidney beans.
Make chicken gravy in another pot, then pur over the kidney beans and rice.
Sardines are optional.

New Products: Cereal Drama
In the first New Product review for quite some time, Johnny Superfecta tries a new cold cereal--a new version of a classic cold cereal, rather, designed for today's youth who demand constant over-stimulation, even at the breakfast table. So, was it SupaShreddies Mega Max? X-treme Weetabix Remix? Der Alpen Berry Blitzkrieg?

New Products: Swiss do Passable Rendition of Hickory Sticks
Having recently relocated to Switzerland, I have deliberately sought out things that remind me of home. Some things, like chocolate, are a universal constant but there are other things, like the tasty, potaoey snack known as Hickory Sticks, which are no where to be found. Longtime readers of GlobeCord will know my affection for this salty treat from articles such as Hickory Sticks: Is this the end?. Therefore, it was not long before I noticed a Swiss verision of a potato stick on the shelf of my local Migros. As I purchased this Snacketti brand of potato stick I wondered that even though the Swiss are now better than us at hockey, do they have the upperhand in the battle of the best potato stick?

Review: Milestone's Bar and Grill Yorkdale
What do you expect from a quality, trying-to-market-to-yuppies type franchise restaurant? I expect classy ambience, professional and efficient service, and food that deserves to be spread word-of-mouth.

New Products: Herring on the Side of Caution
I cautiously ate some fried herring for supper on Friday. They were fried by a German. I'm not German and I don't know any Germans or German restaurants.

Wine from our Vegas dinner
For those interested, the wine we had with dinner Friday night was Jean Luc Colombo's Les Mesjeans Cornas, 2001. The LCBO doesn't have a listing for it.

New Products: Sprite Remix Berryclear Drinkable Ripoff of Older Soft Drink
This week, I found myself craving change. Not drastic change like a majority Conservative government or having a child, but rather something new to satisfy my thirst while enjoying my lunch from the cafeteria. Luckily for me, I found several bottles of the new Sprite Remix Berryclear in the fridge. Purchasing it, I ran back to the lab using all my willpower to contain my excitment. Finally, I cracked the bottle and took a swig of a beverage, although much tastier than Coca Cola's previous foray Sprite: Ice, this new Sprite brand was clearly a ripoff of something I had imbibed before...

A Tim Hortons Moment
It’s 10:45am and I’m about to roll up the rim on what must be my 20th cup of coffee in the last two weeks. Every day I go to work and I estimate approximately 20 times I have left disappointed with this contest.

New Products: Dentyne Fire--Hot it is Not
Standing in line at the cafeteria purchasing a delicious tuna melt, I decided I would need something afterwards to purge the fishy taste from my tongue. Looking over the picked-over gum rack, I was saddened to find my usual brands had all but been purchased. However, the sadness soon passed for out of the corner of my eye, I spotted Cadbury Schweppes' latest foray into the Canadian chewing gum market, Dentyne: Fire. Eagerly anticipating the world of pain I was in store for, I purchased a pack, but as I would soon find out the only burning sensation this product would cause me was burning rage at how underwhelming this piece of this gum really was.
