 A few weeks ago, riley managed what was thought to be impossible - the complete domination of the front page of Globecord. Never before has a single poster managed to string together the necessary 10 postings in a row to claim the front page although it should be noted that cscott came close serveral times last year during the Flower Clock Annals project. Congratulations to riley and a gentle reminder to all agents that there are consequences for not meeting your yearly posting quota...

| Wilson Goes to Haiti |
As reported in the London Free Press, the controlling director of our rival organization GlobeCorp Realty has been dispatched to Haiti. Snow Plow Operator First Class (retired) Brian Wilson left last Friday for a three week posting to aid victims of the earthquake.
We all here wish him and his cause well.

In keeping with current Globecord Luddite policy to resist recent internet innovations, it is only now that the powers-that-be have authorized the creation of Globecord YouTube Channel. Exactly what type of programming will appear has yet to be finalized, but all active agents will find that their current Globecord Google credentials will give them posting access to the channel. Take a look to see some of the first videos documenting Swiss mountain life.

It's not as if it wasn't predicted, but it appears that as of August 17, 2009, a new federally registered corporation has come alive... GlobeCorp Ltd.
According to records provided online by Corporations Canada, our very own Brian Wilson (me) is the sole and founding director. That's right folks, GlobeCorp is not only making a comeback, but doing it in style! As a federally registered corporation, GlobeCorp Ltd. now carries jurisdiction to operate in any province or territory. The next step is global... Because after all, GlobeCorp's founding principle is "Building A Better World"...

| GlobeCorp Reborn?! |
|
In a suprising move, southwestern Ontario correspondent bwilson noted today that GlobeCorp, the long time arch nemesis of GlobeCord, has re-surfaced online after many years of hiatus.
The website, www.GlobeCorp.ca, is extremely vague and lack lustre, perhaps alluding to grander things to come...
You all may recall that GlobeCorp found its roots in the Australian hit television series The Girl From Tomorrow, in which time travellers from the war torn future return to our time to steal water, one of the most precious commodities in the future. Silverthorn was a quick witted water thief (well, not really) and battled Alana in his quest to steal water from the present time and sell it to GlobeCorp, the world ruling power in the future.
Maybe this is just coincidence that GlobeCorp seems to have been re-born amidst economic meltdown and political upheaval in Canada, or maybe it's a sign of things to come. We'll just have to keep our eyes and ears open to see where this formidible foe will go from here.

This vehicle would be the third in Brian's "Police Cars of North
America" series, and marked a return to form for him after the
frightful car/driver mismatch of his previous car. Even he couldn't tell you exactly how he came to be driving that wretched thing, I suspect. (Indeed, although temporary insanity is still an acceptable defense in our legal system. Perhaps the fit was so uncomfortable to Brian’s subconscious that it induced the risky driving behaviour which would ultimately contribute to the Kia’s short and brutal life…)

I've gotten a start on the most pointless GC project to date (which is really saying something): assigning a fanciful title to every combination of three or more members of GC senior staff. I'm sorry if GC's Distaff Squad! feels slighted by this, but if they were included, that would make 120 names to come up with at the three-person level--quite excessive, unlike this. Hence, at the Wilson housewarming, the GC complement will be The Outfit, featuring Allison and Jenny. Excelsior, Super Friends!
